About RMPH We Care

         We provide psychosocial support, mental health referrals, adherence counseling, and advocate for prevention measures such as mother-to-child transmission prevention, TB/HIV/AIDS education, PREP, and STI management.

        

          WE CARE believes that it is critical for every member of the Capiznon community to have HIV awareness, motivation, and knowledge in order to protect themselves from the consequences of the virus. Our primary goal is to provide support to all Capiznon people living with HIV (PLHIV), with a particular emphasis on increased empathy. Our overarching vision is to provide comprehensive and compassionate support to PLHIV and their familieThe WE CARE facility started as a dream for the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital. Back in 2018, we were only a referral hospital. However, as the number of HIV patients increased, we needed a facility to provide direct care for them. WE CARE stands for Capiz Advocacy and Reassuring Engagement for HIV Prevention and Control, and it represents exactly what we do for our patients. WE CARE.

        

          WE CARE offers HIV counseling, testing, financial assistance, doctor consultations, and primary care for HIV/AIDS and related infections such as tuberculosis.s, while maintaining strict confidentiality and fostering a sense of empowerment and respect.

Dra. Ma. Aimy Villanueva-Bialen

Dra. Ma. Aimy Villanueva-Bialen is the HACT Physician of the RMPH We CARE Clinic. She is an Internist and has been with the HIV program for five years. She is the medical coordinator of the HIV/STI program and in charge of the medical management. She ensures follow up and referral of clients to other specialties and also coordinates with the Hospital Infection Control Committee in the implementation and infection control within the hospital.

She is envisioning that the We Care treatment facility will be the center of excellence in multidisciplinary care and support for PLHIVs and hoping to create a community free of new HIV infection, free of stigma, deaths and discrimination.
