Training in Enhanced Case Management and CQI Workshop - March 11-15, 2024
ICAP works with DOH in the attainment of UNAIDS goals of 95-95-95 by providing technical support to selected public health facilities and community-based organizations. One strategy in attaining the 3rd 95 is to maintain individuals in care for viral suppression with strengthened case management approaches in health facilities. A holistic approach in the management of PLHIV will ensure psychosocial and health needs are timely provided, clients are retained in care and treatment interruption is prevented.
As such, conducting Continuing Quality Improvement (CQJ) activities allow health facilities to identify and respond to specific areas that need improvement in the delivery of health services. The QI activity provides information on reasons for difficulties of achieving targets on service delivery, development of local solutions, and regular review of indictors to know if changes led to betterment of services including improved case management and eventual achievement of desired health outcomes.
